Direct Link joins golf for a cause
(Manila 2011) Direct Link Car Insurance recently joined the Golf for a Cause, a 1-day tournament held at the Valley Golf in Antipolo City..
“This is a small but sincere way of giving back to the society.” said Mia Grace Yabut, general manager of Direct Link.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Marikina West, Rotary International District 3800, Golf for a Cause is intended to raise funds to support projects relating to poverty alleviation, medical missions, literacy programs for educational development and many other noteworthy projects to help the plight of the needy in different communities.
“It actually doesn’t matter whether it’s a golf tour or something else as long it has charitable purpose. At Direct Link, we do business in total respect of the UCPB Group corporate and social responsibility principles.” said Yabut.
“This particular event, the Golf for a Cause, was all about fun and finding fulfillment in being able to help” noting that the proceeds from the event will support the club’s many community projects.
The Golf for a Cause was participated in by 72 Rotary Clubs in District 3800 comprised of Rotarians from the areas of Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Caloocan, Marikina, Rizal, Pasig, San Juan and Mandaluyong.
“Direct Link employees, together, aim at fulfilling both the company’s responsibilities to clients and the society as a whole. We work hard to be the car insurance specialist that our clients expect us to be. At the same time, we are perpetually on the lookout for opportunities to do some good in the community” said Yabut.
